Studio Manager

The Studio Manager is part of the senior management team and is looking after all operational elements of the studio floor. This role manages both styling and photography and works closely together with stockroom, post-production and commercial teams. The Studio manager will be reporting to the Head of Operations.

As the Studio Manager, you will take accountability of process development, infrastructure creation and studio planning/execution to ensure continues quality and delivery on our promises through smooth and efficient studio operations. Although the role is operational in nature, it will need tactical and strategical thinking to ensure we are always adding value, drive efficiency without losing quality.

Main Duties:

Studio Operations

• Drive workflow refinement, optimization, management and training
• Manage Studio team, processes and workload on a daily basis
• Foster continuous improvement across the business
• Produce and deliver shoots in line with client requirements and IHS quality
• Establish and secure business continuity and operations
• Work together with planning in optimizing use of resources
• Establish clear roles and responsibilities across the studio organisation to ensure we always add value and maximize resources

Leadership & Management

• Lead & manage through visible leadership behavior
• Provide goals, review performances, nurture and educate the talented team
• Inspire and guide the team, provide a growth path and structure to the team, which theycan use for their own career development
• Set-up and execute training covering efficiency, processes, guide development and new methodologies across styling & photography
• Hire new talent to strengthen the team and support the business development
• Establish and manage pool of “trusted” freelancers to support peak times, sickness, and holidays
• Provide insights, vision, and direction to the studio organisation within and outside of direct area of responsibilities
• Bring a continuous improvement mindset and own/drive this within the organisation

Communication and Reporting

• Support/guide all communication between the client and I Heart Studios on photography/styling related elements
• Providing swift and appropriate responses to internal/external requests
• Maintain and develop clear guidelines and guides for all clients
• Liaise in partnership with business development/account management on client’s current status of photography/styling, collaborate on future suggestions and areas of improvements in conjunction with the lead from account management and/or business development
• Provide clear feedback and structured input to the studio to ensure optimum understanding and alignment of requirements/deliverables
• Run regular 1 on 1 conversations as well as team meetings with the studio team
• Upholding the premium shoot execution and customer service values of I Heart Studios,
• represent the core brand values of I Heart Studios at all times
